Until Energen was fostered as an excellent small and medium-sized company, CEO Ha's life journey was not smooth. Born in Buk-myeon, Changwon, as a child, he gave up his childhood dream of becoming a teacher and entered a technical high school due to the difficult family situation in the countryside.
After serving in the military, he got a job at a small company for 25 years and was promoted to the title of director, but he decided to start a business to realize his bigger dream. In 2011, we hired 7 technicians that we needed right away. Indeed, starting from the bottom of the field, he improved his research and technology by reading and reading day and night, and laid the foundation of the company by demonstrating his accumulated know-how.
For stable delivery, it was difficult to deliver to a parent company. However, due to the bankruptcy of a large company that was unimaginable, the supply was stopped. Some of the various facilities and test equipment prepared in the meantime could not be used and became useless. All he had left was bank debt.
However, we did our best day and night to ensure that there is no problem with delivery even with the remaining quantity. In the midst of this, there was a setback in the schedule due to the delay in the delivery of quasi-grade parts. In addition, due to unreasonable correction requests due to the company's initial design mistake, employees were forced to work all night and without holidays, resulting in a safety accident. Here, the financial debt has grown like a mountain, and the eyes have become dark.
As this was the case, some of the staff left their seats one by one. For CEO Ha, that moment was a series of indescribable pain.
After many twists and turns, he once again made up his mind and went to a temple in Changnyeong to find a glimmer of hope. On the way back, the words of the late Hyundai Group Chairman Chung Ju-young, “There are trials, but no failures,” crossed my mind. He aims to achieve 20 billion won in sales by 2020 and plans to invest in the defense industry through R&D of the only eco-friendly generator in Korea and diversify exports to China and India.
